The Autumn Term is in full swing in Y6 and we are so pleased that all of our children have settled back in nicely.
At the beginning of this half-term, we visited the wonderful Museum of London, in the Docklands. This trip was a great background preparation for our next topic about World War Two.
All four classes thoroughly enjoyed their visits and have begun to develop their understanding of this key period in World History. The trip was also extremely useful in helping the children learn about the specific and lasting impact of the war on the Docklands area.
Please take a look at these photos of our great experience. We all agreed, that the trips were well worth it!
Autumn Term 2017
Welcome back !
The year six teaching team would like to let you know, just how pleased we are, with the positive start that the year six pupils have made.
We are looking forward to the year ahead, working in collaboration with our parents and carers.
Please read the Year 6 Autumn Term newsletter. It's a very useful guide to find out what our children will be learning this term.

The last week is here already!
The Y6 Team would like to thank all of our parents and carers for your continued support this year. This week, beginning Monday 5th February, is Assessment Week and we have decided to follow the same order of tests as our children will face in May. This is so that they can begin to become familiar with the official organisation of SATs Week 2018.
We are also looking forward to updating you about the progress your children have made so far this year, during parent consultations. All of the children have kept up their efforts and continued to work hard across all subjects and we are very proud of them!
Please note, any parents or carers who were unable to attend last week's SATs Information Evening will have the opportunity to discuss the key points covered in these consultations.
Time for a Workshop!
Today, the children in Y6 were pleased to have the opportunity to participate in a Fossil Workshop. Amongst other fascinating facts, they learnt that fossils are essential to the understanding about life in the past and that without them, we would know about dinosaurs!
Here are a selection of photos from one session. It is clear that our hard-working Y6's enjoyed the last day of the half-term! We also want to add that we are so proud of the way all the children focused and concentrated during the SATs week and that we are looking forward to creating even more special memories with them next half-term!
