Shortly before Christmas, the Department for Education published KS2 results for primary schools across England for 2019. We don’t usually blow our own trumpet but with such stellar results we thought we should share our success with everyone. Pupils meeting the expected standard in reading, writing and maths was an astounding 84% compared to the national average of 65% and a local authority average of 72%. At subject level, those children achieving the expected standard was an eye-watering 92% for reading, 86% for writing and 88% for maths. Our percentage of higher attaining pupils increased considerably as well. In addition, we now sit in the top 10% of schools in terms of our children’s progress from KS1 to the end of KS2. These are outstanding results but our continued success is down to our wonderfully supportive parents, the efforts of the whole staff team and of course, the children themselves. Well done everybody!
