Farewell Letter from Mr Ryan
I am writing to you on this final day of the School Year. My first duty is to bid a fond farewell to a number of Staff.
Mr Sebeh, who is retiring.
Mrs House, who is retiring after 28 years in the School.
Ms Dawkins, who is changing her career.
Ms Barringer, who is devoting her time to her children.
Ms Duffus, who is devoting her time to her family.
Mr Perrin, who is re-locating.
Mrs Ryan, who is retiring.
Mrs Fiander, who is retiring after 20 years in the School.
Mrs Dettmer, who is retiring after 25 years in the School, and
Ms Parker, who is re-training to become a teacher.
All of the Staff members mentioned have made significant contributions to the success of the School. I am sure you will join me in wishing them all well in the next stages of their lives and careers.
As you all know, I am retiring today and I wanted to express my thanks to all the Staff, Parents and Children who have made my time at The Winns such a fantastic and rewarding experience.
Over my career I have worked as Head Teacher in three schools, with the longest time spent at The Winns. My time here will always leave a special place in my heart, as I am proud to have worked in such a welcoming and pro-active community.
I believe I am leaving the School in great shape for the future and I wish everyone well in the coming years ahead, particularly our Year 6 children, who are moving onto the exciting challenge of Secondary Education.
Once again, many thanks to everyone for their support. It has been an honour and a privilege.
